As we are great fans of Xinobi and his label D.I.S.C.O. Texas, it’s an honor to have him as guestmixer for our Mixtape Mondays project. With almost 400.000 visitors on Myspace and playing around the globe, Xinobi is a busy man. Lately he have been working on new EP named Japanese, which will be released soon through his D.I.S.C.O. Texas label. If you are into disco, you surely will notice when its out, as Xinobi and his label have been setting a high standard of disco-house through the past years and therefore is widely respected. Who doesn’t remember Xinobi’s hit “Day Off”?  His mix is splendid disco!!

“I really don’t like to make mixtapes that have 18489247920 tracks in 30 minutes. Either they are really well done and arranged or eveything will just sound like non-sense crap. I like Dj Food, I like 2 Many Djs, but these guys really do fast mixing right. That’s the reason I just have 7 songs here. They are too good to be just shown in 30 seconds or so.
Starting with the Pink Floyd-ish disco trip on Chilly’s “Dance with me” and progressing with the spacey Mustang remix of Chas Bronz’s “Walking in Space”. Then we uplift the mood with Release the Beast by Den Haan. The 4th track is a forgotten Royksopp remix for Mekon’s “Please Stay”. Dumb Dan reworked by Patrick L is next. Approaching the end we have a track by Veemanjanssen. An amazing ubber-looped track with lots of small details that distinguish it from all the average filter house clichés. At “The End”, an edit I made of the OMD classic “Enola Gay. Enjoy It”. – Xinobi
