Surtek Collective (Vicente Sanfuentes and Atom tm) recently released the their stunning Shari / Vari EP on BNR TRAX (Buy Here). Two killer tunes that have set several DJ-sets under fire. But the two experienced techno producers have more in their sleeves, and they’ve chosen to give it for free.
The Moon Patrol release, is 3 version of the same track. A is acid techno. B is funky, just wait for it. C does have hypnotic disco feel.
The Hacker have since our early days with electronic music been one of our favorites (yes we have many favorites). In particular his work with Miss Kitten and tracks like Frank Sinatra, 1982 and The Beach marked The Hacked in the club environment and was for years played at the private party’s we went too. Booking him for PHONO2012 is truly something special. And having him to play one of his rare live-shows is even more exciting.
Now for latest news from The Hacker! Today a new The Hacker EP hit the world. It’s named Satori and is out on Correspondant (part of Kompakt). It comes with 2 original tracks and remixes by Daniel Maleso and Offset. About the originals, can be said that The Hacker is going back to his more dark signature electro techno sound from early 2000, and that we are fans of. Dark and hypnotic beats. Unreleased stuff too? Yes. Surgeon have made his amazing Coil remix available with following reason;
To accompany the 2001 re-releases of their first 3 albums, Coil decided to also release a vinyl box set edition which would include a 12″ of remixes by Autechre and Surgeon. The remixes were completed and approved by Coil, but the project stayed on the shelf. Sadly since then both John Balance and Peter Christopherson have both died and it’s with the greatest respect to their memories that I make this remix publicly available. – Surgeon

Now for the bass business! Lobot’s Head have done it again, with his new tune named Lucia. He categorize it as future techno, we’d more say it’s electro bass shizzle! But we fucking love it! Stuff going mad already at 1.15min. Simple a killer tune for the dancefloor. Gotta love this dude’s productions, so much stuff going without getting to complex and confusing. Enough bullshit talking. It’s a wonder, why we have never mentioned Coin Operated Boy on our blog, despite he have had our attention in a couple of years now. With releases on Gash Music, Moda, Top Billin and Waerhouse Music, he have shown his worth. Recently there have been really quiet from Coin Operated Boy, so we are more than happy that his back with PATROL CAR. Though we are still waiting for PAW PRINCE EP being released. Enjoy Patrol Car’s funky beat and vocal! This will make you happy lol-dancing! And doesn’t that old Patrol Car look good?
A few days ago, we posted the new Simian Mobile Disco single Seraphim video on our Facebook-page, excited about the news of a new album release, Unpatterns, in near future. Seraphim is a sensitive low-beat house track to start with, but let it grow on you and that 303 works it. Great video too. B-side of the single is Put Your Hands Together (preview). More upbeat, and surely something that could work well on the dancefloor. Impressions for both of two tracks is, that we can expected a more warm album, than former album Delicacies. But we’ll have to wait with such a conclusion. The more warm sound does fit SMD, though we loved the Delicacies-album.
